History
In 1977 the Kapiris Family opened the Sombrero Motor Inn as a small 17 suite Motel serving bed and breakfast. Over the years the success of the motel has been measured by the demand for more and varied accommodation from a loyal and regular clientele.
The hotel now has 43 suites comprising standard and deluxe hotel rooms, 2 room family suites, standard and deluxe, townhouse apartments, gold studio label apartments, a restaurant, conference facilities and a pool.
The Kapiris Family still actively run the hotel with the assistance of a wonderful staff most of whom have become long term employees, who share in the vision and experience that is the Sombrero Motor Inn.
In 2005, the Sombrero Motor Inn became a proud member of the Choice Hotels Australasia group and in now also known as the Comfort Inn & Suites Sombrero.
